Reinforcing Access to Cross Border Employment

At Palestinian Higher Education Institutions

KICK OFF MEETING FOR REACH PROJECT IN UNIVERSITY OF LJUBLJANA , SLOVENIA

As a part of Reinforcing Access to Cross Border Employment at Palestinian Higher Education Institutions [REACH] project co-funded by European Commission under Erasmus + Program, the kick off meeting conducted on 23-24 January 2020 at University of Ljubljana- Slovenia. 

The meeting started according to the agenda with welcome speech by the representative office of Slovenia in Palestine-Dr. Vojko Kuzma via Skype, during his speech he appreciated this collaboration and he promised to facilitate mobility activities from and to Slovenia. Then Dr. Robert Marinšek -Erasmus+ contact point for Slovenia (CMEPIUS) introduced his speech focusing on the importance of such project and any other related project in promoting job opportunities specially in Slovenia that face a problem of having labor force, adding that, this project will enhance cross border employability to ensure collaborative efforts with other partners in this project and in other projects.

After that Dr. Sadiq Abdelall- REACH Coordinator introduced his overview presentation about REACH Project, during his presentation he presented REACH Aim, REACH Justifications, REACH Objectives, REACH Partners, REACH Work Packages, and REACH Outcomes. 

In addition, during the first day, PS partners and EU partners presented a short presentation about their universities experiences in promoting cross border employability, their presentation provide a brief about university historical background, vision, mission, main pillars of its work, goals, faculties, academic degrees, main centers & units serving local community, international cooperation, international mobility. The second part of this presentation focused on center or unit responsible for reinforcing access to cross border employability also the center historical background introduced, objectives, programs, competitive advantages, services, Freelancing program process, targeted sectors and major partners. 

For the second day of the event, detailed distribution of tasks presented, project work plan, planning for the next activities and the last point take place in the meeting was the budgetary and financial management then open discussion conducted.
